Configuring Your Device for Email

  1. While connected to your ISP, on your Palm-size PC, tap Start and select Inbox. On the Handheld PC, choose Start, Programs, Pocket Outlook, and select Inbox

  3. Tap Compose and select Options. If you don’t see Compose, tap the left-most double arrow icon and the toolbars will switch.
  4. Tap the Services tab.

  6. Tap the Add button.

  8. Tap Internet mail.
  9. Tap the OK button.
  10. In the Enter a unique name text box, type the name of your ISP (Example: AT&T WorldNet)

  12. Tap the OK button.

  14. From the Connection list, select your ISP (Example: AT&T WorldNet)
  15. In the POP3 Host and SMTP Host type, the name of your POP3 and SMTP host provided by your ISP (Example: For AT&T WorldNet, POP3 Host is: postoffice.worldnet.att.net, and SMTP Host is: mailhost.worldnet.att.net) The POP3 and SMTP hosts may be the same or different as in the example.
  16. In the User ID text box, type your dial-up username.
  17. In the Password text box, type your dial-up password. The dial-up username and dial-up password are usually the same as your logon username and password. Though, our AT&T example requires different dial-up Username/Password than the logon Username/Password used previously.
  18. Save Password should be checked.
  19. Type your email address in the Return Address box.
  20. Tap Next, then Next again.
  21. Finally, tap the Finish button.

  23. To send and receive email, on the Inbox screen, you need to tap the Connect button from the Service menu.
