Using the "auto fill" feature in Excel Mobile

Excel Mobile has an auto fill feature that lets you fill sequential values automatically. For example, you can automatically fill sequential dates or sequential numbers. To use it, follow these steps:

  1. Enter the date or number in the first cell.
  2. Highlight the first cell and other cells into which you want to enter the sequential series.
  3. Go to Menu >Edit >Fill (pre-WM5: Edit >Fill). This displays Excel's Fill menu.
  4. In the Direction drop down menu, choose the Down or Up option depending upon whether you selected cells in the downward or upward directions.
  5. Choose the Fill Type as Copy or Series, depending upon whether you want the cells to be filled with copies of the original value or you want it to be a sequential series.
  6. In the Series Type, choose from the options Autofill, Date, or Number depending upon the type of data that you want to auto fill.
  7. In the case of date or number, you can specify the interval that you want to increment the original value for each new time in the series in the Step value box.
  8. Tap "OK" and the series will be filled.

You can use Excel's Fill menu to automatically fill sequential dates or numbers.

Schedule a meeting using Calendar

Meetings are Calendar appointments that include other people. When you create a meeting, an e-mail containing the meeting request is sent to the people that you select in the Appointment dialog box. To create a meeting, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new Calendar appointment and complete the fields in the dialog box as needed, but do not tap on OK yet.
  2. Tap on the Attendees field and your Contacts list will pop up.
  3. Tap the name of the person you want to include in the meeting. If they have more than one e-mail address, a screen will pop-up, allowing you to select the notification address. (Pre-WM5: If the contact has more than one e-mail address, their name will appear more than once in the contact list. Select the appropriate address.)
  4. To add another name to the meeting, tap Add and then select the other name from the list. (Pre-WM5: The Contacts list is displayed with check boxes next to each name. Simply check the boxes of all the people you want to notify about the meeting.)
  5. When you are done adding names, tap OK to return to the new appointment screen.
  6. Make any additional changes you'd like to the new appointment screen and then tap OK to create the meeting.
