Device comparison chart
Beginning September 2004, the same Pocket PC, Smartphone, and Handheld PC comparison charts that you find in each issue of Pocket PC (see page 63) can now be found at PocketPCmag.com (http://www.pocketpcmag.com/bg/ppcs.asp). You will be able to find information about the newest Pocket PCs and Smartphones as we enter it into our database. You will also find the specifications for older units no longer sold by the manufacturers, which are no longer listed in the print version of the magazine.
Encyclopedia of Software and Accessories
This issue contains brief descriptions of about 700 of the best software and accessory titles from the Pocket PC magazine Encyclopedia of Software and Accessories. Longer descriptions of these titles are found in the Encyclopedia, a searchable and categorized online database of over 3000 software programs and accessories for Windows Mobile devices (http://www.pocketpcmag.com/encyclopedia.asp).
The Encyclopedia can be especially useful if you’re looking for the best software or accessory in a certain category, such as presentation software, puzzle games, or audio players. Each week, New Products Editor Diane Dumas sends out a free e-mail newsletter describing the very latest software and accessories. Subscribe at the PocketPCmag.com home page.
Best Windows Mobile Sites
Pocket PC magazine’s Web Editor Jim Karpen keeps track of the many excellent Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone Web sites. He reports on them in his regular “What’s Online” column in Pocket PC magazine and writes a free weekly electronic newsletter about Windows Mobile sites, available at PocketPCmag.com. Jim also maintains our Best Sites Web page (http://www.pocketpcmag.com/_topbestsites.asp). There you will find the top sites for downloading software, eBooks, music, or video; for reading the latest news; and for discovering the top sites in different countries.
Support Forum
One of the most popular sections of PocketPCmag.com is our support forums (http://www.pocketpcmag.com/forum/). At the forums you can post questions, register complaints, praise product vendors, and help others. Hundreds of electronic conversations take place each week among users from all over the world.
