The biggest trend I've noticed over the last year has been both a drop in prices and an increase in capacities for CF and SD memory cards—reaching over 4GBs for CF cards! New memory form-factors were introduced, including the mini-SD card, which is rapidly becoming a popular choice for Smartphone and Pocket PC Phone Edition device manufacturers.
Bluetooth GPS receivers have been very popular this last year, with over 20 new products submitted in this category. There has also been quite a lot of advancement in GPS technology, which has increased the sensitivity and accuracy of these devices. Finally, GPS receiver prices have fallen to under a $100 for some units, making them quite affordable
