How to unlock their Smartphone: Some of these devices are sold "locked," which means you can't install third-party applications on them. Unlocking them allows you to install a wide range of freeware and commercial programs on them, greatly improving the Smartphone's capabilities.

- Business users need to know how to password-protect their PDA to safeguard company data.
- They also need to know how to protect themselves when using wireless communications. If you use Wi-Fi, be sure to use WEP: Don't let someone hack your network through your PDA!
