GPRS Manager

I finally found software that helps me set up my Internet connection on GPRS. GPRS Manager (Fig. 1) is fast, easy, and cheap ($14.90). I definitely recommend it. Get it at the BVRP Web site (http://www.bvrp.com/ENG/products/home_mobility.asp).

Establishing file associations

By default, most files on the Pocket PC have an "association" established with an application. For example, tap on a WMA or MP3 music file in File Explorer, and Windows Media Player will pop up and the music file will start playing.

I recently installed the iMusic player on my Pocket PC, but removed it because I found it difficult to use. Somehow my music (.WMA) files are no longer associated with Windows Media Player. I tap on them in File Explorer and get the "no application associated with this file" message. Is there a way to reestablish the file association with the built-in Windows Media Player?

Mikono

If you have Resco Explorer (http://www.resco-net.com/explorer.asp), tap-and-hold a file with WMA extension and select the "Associate" option from the pop-up menu. Then use the file chooser window, navigate to the \Windows folder and choose wmplayer.exe.
There is a free tool called MyExtension that will accomplish the same thing. It's available from the BadSchwii Web site (http://www.badschwii.com).
