BASIC TIPS
Calendar appointment symbols in Month view
Under the Month view in Calendar, you may notice triangle and square symbols under the dates. These symbols stand for any Appointments that you have created.
The symbols indicate the following:
- No symbol (see Jan 7 above): No calendar appointments have been entered for that day.
- A filled square block (see Jan 1): You have morning and afternoon appointments on that day.
- A filled triangle pointing towards the upper left corner of the box (see Jan 2): You have morning appointments.
- A filled triangle pointing towards the lower right corner of the box (see Jan 3): You have evening appointments.
- An empty square block (see Jan 9): You have an all-day event on that date.

The symbols in Calendars Month view tell you about the appointments on that day.
Make appointment icons appear in Day view
On the Pocket PC only, you can set six different icons to appear next to your appointments in Calendars Day view that give you the following information about the appointment:
- Reminder: An alarm is set to remind you when the appointment comes due.
- Recurs: The appointment is recurring.
- Note: There is information in the appointments notes field that you may need to look at.
- Location: The appointment has a specific location associated with it (e.g., meetings, lunch dates, etc.).
- Attendees: Additional people will be attending a meeting associated with the appointment.
- Private: The appointment is marked as private.
