T-Mobile is offering a flash ROM upgrade for their Phone Edition device that will accomplish the following:
- Upgrade the radio to provide faster data connection speeds (class 8).
- Eliminate device freezes caused by T-Mobile applications.
- Eliminate incorrect display of the operator name string in certain geographic areas.
- Reduce missed call incidence significantly.
- Upgrade Windows Media Player to version 8.5.
- Add support for using the tab key in Pocket Internet Explorer for moving between fields.
- Update Microsoft branding for the Today screen and Welcome screen.
- Remove the SMS icon from the task tray at the bottom of the Today screen.
