Members of Pocket PC magazine's Games Central forum weigh in on their favorite Pocket PC games
On March 26, 2002 Pocket PC magazine officially opened their new online user
forums to provide a place where Pocket PC, Handheld PC, and Smartphone users can
go to seek help from other users, discuss news and new products, share tips, and
a lot more.
Forum membership is free and open to anyone with a valid e-mail address. You
need to be a member to reply to forum messages or post new messages, but if you
just want to visit the forum and read messages, you don't have to become a
member. You can visit the forum anytime at http://PocketPCmag.com/forum/.
One of the more active forums is Games Central, hosted by Pocket PC
magazine's games master, Allen Gall. In this forum you'll find comments and
questions about games, announcements about new games and beta releases, and
other items of interest to Pocket PC gamers. A recent "thread" (a
string of messages related to a single subject) focused on forum members'
favorite games. Please note that most forum members use aliases or "nics"
(for nickname). For example, the "Best Game" message thread was
started by someone who goes by "iPAQfreak."

What is the best game? This would be an interesting thread to start. Plus I
need some ideas on what games I should get. Age of Empires (www.ziointeractive.com)
is a sweet game!

The question isn't correct. There aren't "best games" at all. For
example, the best strategy game is probably Chess. But if the question was
"What's your favorite game" then I'd answer Gangsta Race (http://gargagames.com/ppcgr.php).

I suppose it just depends on what kind of games people like. Role Playing
Games (RPG) are my favorite and I like Everquest for Pocket PC (http://eqpocket.station.sony.com),
Nuclear Time (www.mallocware.com), Tower
of Souls (www.parystec.
demon.co.uk/indexO2.html), Ultima Underworld (www.ziosoft.com),
Kyle's Quest Classic and Kyle's Quest 2 (www.
crimsonfire.com), and The Flame of Illean (www.inebooks.com).
I also like Hexacto's Emperor's Mahjong (www.hexacto.
com), Age of Empires (www.ziointeractive.com),
King Sol (www.rapturetech.com), and
Scrabble (www.handmark.com).
