Help me, please! I cannot use the "Infrared receive" (start > programs > infrared receive) application in my ipaq h3670 PPC2002 v2.2.
I had used it before, i know, but now I can't. I can, however, activate the "receive all incoming beams and select discoverable mode" in the beam section of the connection settings and receive the files. (Start > settings > connections > beam) but this is uncomfortable
The problem occurs after starting the application. It detects the sending device (computer, phone, other pocket, palm, I have tried them all!), but it says "stablishing connection with DEVICE NAME" (where DEVICE NAME is the device name, ie omnibook6000 and Jorge'spalm)
If I try send the file from the other device, the other device will say "connection failed", or "the connection could not be stablished because the receiving machine actively refused it", etc.
WHAT CAN I DO?

Isn't there any 3rd party program you've recently installed that uses (or, at least, locks) the infrared port?
What happens after a hard reset? Already tried it? (Backup your device first.)

Do you, by any chance, have an IR keyboard for the iPAQ? Most have an option that toggles the 'receive all incoming beams' on and off so that if the keyboard is having problems with a clear connection, it can have exclusive use of the port. If you have an IR keyboard, check the software control app to see if it is set to ignor all other IR beams.

Nope, guys. Neither is there any app that locks the port nor I have ever used an IR device.
Sorry! I forgot to tell you how many times I have hard-reset my device!. Oh god... maybe 30 times? I'm not sure. The problem is ALWAYS present... Is there any hope? (I wonder why should such unfortunate events happen.) Thank you.
