I have i-mate jam and I am looking for realplayer as I cannot read most of the media files using windows media player

Note that RealOne Player[/url] can only play .rm files on the PPC, unlike on the desktop. That is, you may want to give a try to [url="http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/about"]TCPMP isntead, it's orders of magnitude better.

First, check out the Encyclopedia of Software & Accessories here at PPCMag. You would most likely prefer software that has been nominated for the 2005 Best Software Awards.

Also, you may want to check out the link collection on Windows Mobile Technology. There're tons of links to high-quality comparative reviews there.

hi; does realplayer work in smartphones? I have big collection of media in rm format that I like to listen to on my moto-q smartphone but i can not find the software. are you aware of any realplayer alternative for smartphones.?

It does - with some hacking. See http://www.modaco.com/content/smartphone-software-applications/223297/howto-install-realplayer-onto-smartphone/

Also note that mplayer is also SP-compatible but requires a LOT of CPU. See my blog for more info.
