WORLDMATE AWARD FOR THE WORST!!!!!

MOBIMATE -"THE #1 AWARD FOR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE-2005
I have had a longstanding problem with the "Worldmate" program I purchased. I reported this to Mobimate the developer on 10/27. It will not load on my IPAQ 4700, in the Today panel, unless I manually restart it. That also only works sometimes, other times it corrupts the display completly! It is now 11/17 NO HELP FROM MOBIMATE!!! Even Handango, where I purchased the software can't get them to help!! DO NOT BUY THEIR SOFTWEAR-THEY OFFER NO SUPPORT.

11/21-two questions from Mobimate "what's wrong?" STILL NO HELP!!!!!!

Although I cannot speak to the customer support issues I must admit I am very disappointed with this product. Although the OAG integration is interesting you pay considerably for it. More important though is that it is very poor in itinerary and event handling. It lacks the intelligence found in the user interface of a much older product called Trip Tracker. It also completely mishandles the creation of Outlook appointments that correspond to flights. For example, I just created an itinerary for a round trip flight from Denver to San Diego. My San Diego flight leaves at 4:25 Pacific time. But WorldMate created an appointment for 4:25 US Mountain (because my PPC is currently set Denver time.) Say what? So now I am in San Diegoi where I will switch my PPC clock to US Pacific and my calendar will tell me the flight is at 3:25. In this case I'll be luck and only get to my flight an hour earlier than necessary. Also note that instead of making the apppointment correspond to the duration of the flight it makes it only one hour. Bottom line is that this is not only useless but misleading. And I am left to manually modify all those appointments.

So is this hard to do? No! Trip Tracker and City Time both allow you to make appointments for other time zones. Trip Tracker handles the flight appointments perfectly. I wish it had some of the other goodies that WorldMate has but to be honest for what I wasted on WorldMate I could get 2-3 other packages that do far more. Now if I could only get the Trip Tracker folks to do another upgrade to their product!
