I have Cingular 8125 and use Outlook for my calendar and contacts. I am going to reset the phone and delete all data, I am worried by syncing afterwards it would think I deleted all of the information and not send the existing data on the PC back to the phone. How do I ensure that the info does get sent to the phone and not deleted from the PC?

There is an option you can choose when setting up a new partnership with your device that asks if you want the desktop to sync with the phone, the phone to sync with the desktop, or combine items from both. Just choose to let the desktop overwrite the phone and you should be good to go.
