What download setting are you using to retrieve your email? I think the default is to retrieve headers only (which seems to be what is happening for you) and then you need to mark the email you wish to read for download. You can change this to retrieve entire messages or to retrieve the first x number of lines of text. If you continue to have problems replying to mail, verify the outgoing server settings.
My settings were to download the entire message. All I got was the message subject - the rest of the message was blank. When I tried responding, there was no address to resppond to.
What I did was to install new memory card, delete the E-Mail account, and re-establish it. Seems to work OK now.
