It seems that O2 fumbled in a major way and their activation site was available only via IE, not Safari. So the Apple store was having a bottleneck by only being able to activate phones on Macs with VMware that could launch an IE session. The launch in Japan went more smoothly. Et tu, O2? Or should that be: O2, Brute?
