In my quest for a cheap and easy way to play digital music through my home stereo system, I was thinking of getting a simple 2.5mm to RCA cable (www.rpelectronics.com/Default.asp?Main=/English/OnlineCat.asp?Menu=/English/Content/Categories/CatM_28.asp%26Detail=/English/Content/Divisions/Div_28_212.asp) plugging it into the headphone jack of my HP iPAQ hx2750. This seems like a much less expensive approach to achieving the same result as if I used a Roku Soundbridge or, alternatively, a digital media hub.
Does anyone know if this would work?

If your stereo has an auxillary line in, it should work.
