New partinership between Axim X51v and Active Sync 4.5

Win XPhome/SP3, ActiveSync (AS) 4.5  Resorted to hard reset unit as no useful help from Dell "techs" in India. Before Hard reset, had PPC & AS partinnership  but could not reestablish connection between PPC and Dell- brand GPS rcvr. They had been working OK for a year. I had also upgraded to AS4.5 months ago. 3days ago, uninstalled Navteq nav maps 2005, and installed US Navigation maps for 2006.  After this could not get contact between X51v and BT GPS. Also never needed Outlook as mandated by software install warnings (set as default email client) Previously had been using yahoo and my att.yahoo em with no problems.

Yesterday got em notice from Att. yahoo they were switching to secure (SLL) email TCP/IP. and said time is running out for me to make switch. I did, their instructions werent enough. Had to figure how myself but after configuring the settings, the TEST said all is ok. This em change may or may not play a part.

With no help from Dell/MS sites, decided on hard reset. ( example: Nit wit indian tech and his supervisor said my unit was registered in someone elses name so they could not help me, this after a year+ ! and previous contacts!

Opening Outlook 2002 and att.yahoo em before trying to "connect" no help.

Thats where we are at this point. Need to get partinership (PPC to AS) then get PPC to read theBT GPS.

Recommendations pls??

Jet,

Have you already done the hard reset? Also, make sure you delete the previous device partnership on AS and create a new one. Let me know if you have already reset.
