-How to connect your Sprint PCS PPC 6700 to your TomTom ONE-
*If you have previously attempted pairing the devices please REMOVE the TomTom ONE from your PPC 6700 under Start/Settings/Bluetooth Settings/"Connection" Tab/Partnerships Box*

Under the "Mode" tab make sure that "Turn on Bluetooth" and "Make this device discoverable to other devices" boxes are both checked.
Click the "COM Ports" tab and add a new "Incoming Port" (typically - COM0)
Make sure your Bluetooth is turned on.
On your TomTom ONE click "Connect to your phone"
You will need to set up your phone manually since Sprint is not a supported carrier.
When your PPC 6700 is discovered use the following information:
1. Phone selection - other

You should now be paired and ready to use your TomTom ONE with your PPC 6700.
Notes:
1) Make sure you have a data plan (Vision) from Sprint PCS.
2) You will probably have to go to "TomTom Traffic" after successfully pairing to activate your free TomTom PLUS trial.
3) I purchased my TomTom ONE today and am successfully running TomTom PLUS through my Sprint PCS PPC 6700.

-How to connect your Verizon PPC 6700 to your TomTom ONE-

When prompted for IP/DNS/DHCP settings select "Automatic"

Notes:
1) Make sure you have a data plan from Verizon.
2) You will probably have to go to "TomTom Traffic" after successfully pairing to activate your free TomTom PLUS trial.
3) I do not have a Verizon PPC 6700 but the hardware configuration is the same as a Sprint PCS PPC 6700. It's just a matter of using the correct login information for Verizon internet service.
I have the TomTom One with a Sprint Mogul running PPC 6. I can't get the option to add the port, am I missing something? It wants me to add the BT device first.
I have the TomTom one xl and Sprint Sanyo Katana dlx phone. I am having trouble pairing them together. I tried ideas from above but not successful. Any ideas?
Unfortunately any model of phone after the PPC 6700 (i.e. the mogul, katana dlx, touch... and so on) are not eligible for using Sprint's data service without paying an extra $40 - $60 a month for "phone as modem" service. Regardless of your "Vision" subscription, your phone WILL NOT work with the TomTom One or any GPS unit without paying this extra fee. Sprint "gave" this service away in the beginning to give customers a feel for it and now they charge for it. They didn't use to require Login info but simply just connected no matter what you typed in. Now they require a user name and password (on newer phones) to login. The PPC 6700 was one of the last phones to be grandfathered in to use this service without the extra monthly fee. Personally, that's all the reason I need to keep mine. If you have a model of phone issued prior to the PPC 6700, you should be able to use it to connect. It must have the ability to open a bluetooth port to properly connect to the GPS unit though. Good Luck Everyone!!
I have the tomtom one and the KatanaII everything acts like it is connecting than my phone comes back with an error saying my sprint data username and password maybe incorrect. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

I found out that sprint users will not be able to sync to the tomtom because they have a rolling server.

Wow. Thanks for the fast response. Trouble is that the tomtom finds the phone. There doesnt seem to be any manual setup method.
Tomtom asks me if I want to connect. I say yes. Then I get a "no
required features" objection.
It will be so sad if it doesnt work. The phone is great and tomtom one is too.
Amy ideas appreciated.
Thanks again
