Sad news indeed. PocketPC Mag was one I counted on years ago to get my bearings and stay updated about PPC software and hardware. It saved the lives of both my HP Jornadas (which came close to learning to fly several times when frustration levels rose). I will miss the companionship on the mobile way since the iPhone has a couple of deal-killer shortcomings for my purposes and I will be remaining with WM devices.
There is a financial reality in running any business but in this case, I will miss a trusted friend who usually can be counted on for solid advice.
I understand your business decision, however I have no interest in another iPhone publication. With much improved Windows Mobile and Android devices arriving on the market, your departure may be a bit premature. It certainly creates a void in the market. Good luck
