I am trying to connect my Verizon 6900 (HTC Touch) to my computer through Bluetooth. I am using a Kensington USB Bluetooth device. The software wants me to establish the connection on COM7. The HTC Touch displays Com7, but is unable to establish COM7. Can anyone help?

First of all, do you understand that the COM port your PC uses is not directly related to the COM port your Pocket PC uses? Sadly when it comes to Bluetooth and ActiveSync there is not one way to do it, but rather a number of ways and they depend on both the Bluetooth Software on the PC and also the Bluetooth Software on the Pocket PC.
Generally speaking the Bluetooth ActiveSync connection must be initiated from the Pocket PC. Now just how this is done will depend on the Software and ROM installed on the Pocket PC. Sometimes it does from ActiveSync and sometimes it is done from the Bluetooth Manger program. Generally it can only be done once the devices have been paired.
If you go through the steps you are doing, perhaps I can offer some guidance.
