But now, working with AS 4.5 and a smartphone WM 6.0 it doesnt want to work, Im using VS 2005 for the ASP in the device and Visual Studio for the ASP on the PC. the PC si a Win XP.

I dont use any of the functionality in the dll .. only the basic to make the ASP shows in the AS window. I use the RAPI to do the funtionality.

dashed line

Hi,
I am developing for a pocket pc with windows mobile 5 and the .net compact framework, c#. I am trying to draw a dashed line using the System.Drawing namespace. I created a pen and set it to dashed, but it still draws a non-dashed line.

Does anyone know what is wrong?

Thanks,
Opening virtual port for Bluetooth

I have an .NET VF 2.0 app which uses Bluetooth. If does thia by opening the "outgoing" "virtual COM port", which is effectively a BT connection. On a Dell, this is COM7.

I have a PDA from TDS Recon, which uses COM8, like HP PDAs do. I am opening it with the .NET SerialPort object (port.PortName="COM8", port.Open). This works about 50% of the time, but otherwise I get an error 'Port "COM8:" does not exist'. This puzzles me - where does the colon come from? And why does the port.Open sometimes work and sometimes not??

HI,

I am tring to draw a dashed line on a form using the System.Drawing and System.Drawing2d classes

I created a pen object , mypen, and then set it's Dashstyle property to "dash". I next created a graphics object so I could

draw a line on the form using the pen. When I drew the line using "Drawline" it was solid. Is there some "trick" I am missing?

Business Software Development is a boon to the corporate world. The tedious tasks have been simplified by the use of Business software applications such as enterprise resource planning, enterprise content management (ECM), business process management and product lifecycle management. Also, medium sized software like the shopping cart software is an added advantage in online or e-shopping.

Offshore Software

The foremost priority for any Outsourcing company is to set an offshore center which has the best of technology and talented manpower to execute software development. In this context, India has established its hold on Offshore Software Outsourcing along with Russia and China. But she has countries like Philippines eyeing for competition in offshore outsourcing. It is proposed that the competition is due to rise in English speaking community in Philippines. What can be the other reasons for stringent competition and how can India reach the number one slot in Offshore Software Development?

mobile 5 database

I am starting on several projects for a windows mobile 5 or mobile 6 device. The databases might contain words, phrases, numbers or any other collections of data for the program to access and relate.

Is there a standard database that most developers use?

Thanks,
Keith Stallings

Mobile SelectionList

Hi, I am new to asp.net programming. I am writing in ASP.Net and VB.NET.

I am writing a web based program for the Symbol MC50 (Windows 2003 Mobile 2nd Edition). The program works fine from vs2005 on my laptop.

I am having problems with SelectionList showing entries. I need to obtain the data from an existing database. I need the selection lists through the program to select user, then to select items.

If I use the following code it works on the MC50.

<mobile:Form id="Form1" runat="server">

<mobile:Label ID="Label2" Runat="server">Username:</mobile:Label>
