pocket pc and cell phone--again

Hi, sorry to make a new thread on this, but my problem is a little different. I have a toshiba e355 and a motorola v235.

Thing is though, the motorola has a mini-usb port, rather than infrared, serial, or bluetooth. I have a usb host cable for the PPC, and the mini-usb one for the phone, and so they do connect, and in fact the PPC does recognize that the phone is there, but it prompts for a driver which I of course do not have.

What can I do on the software side? I have tried various connection softwares but none seem to detect it automatically, what else might I need?

Blackberry Vs Treo?

Hi!
I'm new in this forum, and I have some questions.
I have some blackberries devices installed for testing purposes. This works very well, but is very expensive.
If I buy a Palm Treo, can I connect this device to my corporate email, with the same advantages that BlackBerry, via wireless?
How can I to do this?
I have a Exchange 2000 server to host my email.
Please, I need some ideas.
Thanks, and sorry by my english.

I have an idea for Samung i600

I was thinking that since the problem with the i600 concerning bluetooth wi-fi etc.. is in fact a Windows issue. If there was a way to remove that OS and install pocket pc if that would resolve issue. Pocket pc seems to have the drivers to install SDIO card..just a thought

When youve done all you can and your strength and everything has left you....Be still and know that I AM GOD

task request via email sync problems

Hi,

I've just started using an O2 XDA II mini with pocket pc mobile 2003.

I've been able to get active sync working from our server using GPRS ok but the problem is normal emails are sent and recieved, but if one of my co-workers creates a task request, which to my understanding is sent via email (as it usually shows up in my inbox in outlook on my desktop) I don't receive the request in the email inbox of my O2 even though it is in the inbox on my outlook on my pc.

Does any one have any ideas of how to get the task request to sync with my o2 email inbox?

cheers,

mike

Exchange Activesync compatible smartphones

Hi, I am wondering what pocketpc phones use Exchange Activesync? I'm not talking about the Activesync software that you have to load on your PC. I understand that Exchange 2003 allows the phone to directly connect to the Exchange server and synchronize e-mail, calendar, and contacts. Which smartphones allow this? Thanks.

Hi

I am trying to deploy a stable handheld solutiuon using active sync/USB across the organsiation using pocket pc. We have deployed in serveral pilot locations, but are finding that we have a lot of active sync/docking issues. We done some investigation into this and find that Active Sync stops connecting 10% of the time which is signifcant in a real time enviroment and is requiring a large support structure to support.

Seeking time management logging journal software

I am seeking a event oriented diary journal program. I need something that will monitor and record user configurable event and actions, preferable from a pull down menu. It also needs to include time logging functions so that when I picked the event, this would be the start time and then I would indicate when done. It would need to track different events simultanously.

Blackberry Connect & Windows Smartphone

Windows Mobile and the ODMs manufacturing the handsets will start including Blackberry Connect (Blackberry functionality for non-Blackberry devices) it announced some time ago.

What will happen to the "Inbox, Calendar" etc that is default in Win Mobile 2003? A corporation with MS Exchange 2003 and a WMSmartphone 2003 pr later has the same functionality as a Blackberry device (yes, even Push capabilities via the carrier).

In short, won´t there be a serious conflict having 2 email and PIM configurations with very different underlying architecture and infrastructure?
