Thanks for any info.

iPaq 214 upgrade from hx4700

Hi all

I've just upgraded my 3 year old, trusty but now creaking hx4700 to the new iPaq 214. At first glance it seems like a great device and will hopefully see me through for another 3 years, but I have noticed one or two annoying omissions from the feature set I had with the hx4700.

help getting WMDC to bind with bluetooth activesync

I am running Vista Home Premium + SP1 on Acer TravelMate laptop with built in BT adaptor. I have the Widcomm 5.1.0.1100 BT drivers installed (Windows ones wouldn't install fully).

My iPAQ hw6915 activesync's with WMDC without problems using USB cradle. Bluetooth connections work fine with all devices including my iPAQ. ActiveSync always connects ok to Bluetooth. I can also use file transfer & hook up to COM port to get iPAQ GPS feeding laptop.

US software for HP G750 folding keyboard

I have an HP G750 keyboard that I am attempting to use on a 5455. The keyboard itself works fine using the driver I found on the web .. but the problem is the special characters are re-mapped for the EU, it seems, using that driver. I have searched all over the web and have been unable to find another driver to correct the issue. Is there a legacy site somewhere that has the original install cd available for download? Or at least, the US drivers? Thanks

screen not aligned --cannot enter password

I dropped my 5450 and now it boots up and, as usual, requests that I enter my password. Problem is that the screen is not aligned so the "hot spots" are nut under the graphic display of the numbers. Since I don't know where to tap, I cannot enter the password. I tried soft reset but that did not affect the problem. I can't seem to sync without entering the password. What now?? Any ideas?

iPAQ Battery Driver 210 Error

Back on the 30th of May HP claims to have released a driver update that adds support for an extended battery, and includes power management improvements to increase battery life between charges. This update was not adequately tested and contained an error in the registry key resulting in a new registry value being created called Builtln where In was spelled ln that is with a lower case "L". HP has very quietly released an updated driver, if you have not downloaded the driver within the last 24 hours please uninstall the existing driver and download the *new* sp39391.exe

this is probably an old problem but i cannot make an internet connection with my ipaq 1950. i did a self test and got the message "your wifi is not associated to an access point. check your wifi settings" i have not set up any wireless routing. i don't know how to do that and i am a complete idiot when it comes to that type of thing and i am totally not computer savvy. i tried following the directions on how to set up wireless routing with this thing but i totally bombed. please help. i need step by step from the beginning. [:(] thx.
