Just published: a browser roundup from the Microsoft folks
The MS folks have just published a review of Web browsers; see THIS.
(Incidentally, my most recent roundup has just been frontpaged by MSMobiles.)

Browser article heavily updated
I've heavily updated my latest Web browser roundup & comparison (which, incidentally, has been frontpaged at WM Power User in the meantime) with, among other things, a straightforward Verdict section and a lot of more info.

SplashShopper Review

This is the kind of review I hate to do, because I essentially have to be the bad guy. There are some old-school applications that are so useful and intuitive that they stand the test of time, even if they don't look pretty. I have to say, SplashShopper from SplashData could become one of those applications, but currently isn't.

Turn a Windows Mobile Device into a Notebook PC with the Celio REDFLY
Before Pocket PCs came with built in keyboards, external keyboards were popular with Windows Mobile users needing to compose documents or respond to a lot of e-mail. The Celio REDFLY significantly enhances this experience by not only providing a keyboard large enough for touch typing, but also providing an 8-inch screen to see more of the application being used, such as columns in a spreadsheet.

Find the Mobile VPN Client that Best Fits Your Needs
Identifying a mobile VPN client that best fits your needs can be a challenging task. Fortunately, there are several simple steps you can take to guide you through the decision process. In short, you need to clearly define your requirements, set up a test environment, and systematically evaluate each VPN client you are considering.

Smartphone Insider
The AT&T Tilt (also known as the AT&T 8925, HTC TyTN II, and HTC Kaiser) was released in October of 2007 and was AT&T’s first Windows Mobile 6 Professional device. The most noticeable feature of the smartphone is its tiltable screen, similar to that of a laptop. This feature as well as its unmatched array of connectivity features has given the Tilt a considerable amount of media and consumer attention. It has garnered excellent reviews from media outlets such as this magazine, PC Magazine, CNET, LAPTOP Magazine, and others.

Enter message recipients quickly with auto-complete feature

When composing a new text or e-mail message on WM Standard devices, you can quickly and easily enter a recipient from your Contacts in the “To:” field by typing the first few letters of the person’s name, which will open a drop-down menu below the field containing contacts that start with those letters. Simply scroll down and select the desired contact from the list.

Twitter away your time for fun and profit
When I first heard of Twitter, I was amazed and amused that it was spreading like wildfire in a frenzy of popularity. It’s all based on a message limited to 140 characters that tells people what you are doing at the moment. My first reaction was, who cares? But apparently people do, and folks are not bashful about sharing what they are up to with others.

FULL ROUNDUP: Browsing the Web on Windows Mobile just like on iPhone, incl. IEM6 review

After purchasing an iPhone 3G, I immediately fell in love with Safari, its Web browser. Granted, it's somewhat less capable as the best, comparable Windows Mobile (WinMo for short) titles (no Flash, no page saving, no copy/paste, no Opera Link, no explicit text size settings, no caching etc.) and, from time to time, it crashes even with the last, 2.2 firmware version, but it's still much better usable and much faster than anything on Windows Mobile.

TUTORIAL: everything you need to know about Flash Lite 3 and playing back Flash web videos
Now that I, at last, have had some free time, I’ve very thoroughly tested the (by the XDA-Devs folks) recently released and freely deployable Flash Lite 3.1, which is quite much a step in the right direction.

10 for 9 in '08 - Skyforce Reloaded (the oops edition)

It turns out that I inadvertently left out the category of Scrolling Shooters when I made all of the posts for this article. Unfortunately, my favorite scrolling shooter for the PocketPC didn't actually get nominated this year, which I suppose was my fault. In lieu of that the clear pick was Skyforce Reloaded, which was still a very good game in this genre.
